This dehydrated sourdough starter, a child of “The Beast”, has been fed organic, fresh milled flour for the last four years. The cultures are over 200 years old— think of all the bread that’s been baked with The Beast’s ancestors! 
At peak activity, this started is dehydrated at 95F in a commercial dehydrator to preserve all the microorganism goodness. 
To rehydrate, simply mix the contents of one pouch with warm water. Detailed instructions are provided with each pouch of dehydrated sourdough starter.
