What is fresh milled flour?
Fresh milled flour is flour that has been milled very recently. Mindful Milling Co. flour is milled upon order and shipped the day it's milled, to make sure maximum nutrients make it to your mouth!
Most flour you can buy is at least a few weeks old, if not months old by the time you buy it... so long, nutrients 👋🏽

How should I store my fresh milled flour?
While there's no avoiding nutrient degradation, you can help preserve nutrients by storing your flour in an airtight container in a cool area. The best way to preserve nutrients and help it last as long as possible is storing it in the fridge, or even the freezer. See "How long does fresh milled flour last?" for storage duration.
How long does fresh milled flour last?
All of these are best in an airtight container:
Room Temp: 30 days
Refrigerator: 4 months
Freezer: indefinite (airtight storage is important here!)
Can I use my old recipies?
Some flours and recipes work just fine with a 1:1 substitution. Some require a little more experimentation!

Why is your flour more expensive?
Our prices reflect the quality of our flour. We're a small company that mills your flour upon order, to maximize the nutrients that make it to your mouth!
The nutrition of fresh milled flour is unparalleled. It's just not possible for large scale mills to provide the freshness we can offer.
We prioritize sustainability and earth friendly practices, which are usually not the cheapest options available. Read more about our sustainability efforts here.
Can I order a mixture of flours?
Yes! Since our flours are milled upon order, your imagination is the limit.
Just let us know what you're thinking via the contact form, or message us on Instagram and we'll create a custom blend for you. The price will depend on the flours.
Are Mindful Milling Co. flours Certified Organic?
While all of our ingredients are Certified Organic, our flours are not yet certified. We're in the process of certification though!
How much is shipping? How long does it take?
Shipping ranges from around $6-$20 depending on the quantities and sizes you order. BUT, as soon as your order reaches $40, shipping is automatically free!
Depending on your location, shipping usually takes 2-3 days.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! You can pickup your order in Fountain Valley, California as soon as you are notified that it's ready.
Do you offer wholesale purchasing?
