We source our pouches from Elevate Packaging, which was founded back in 2000. They are commercially compostable and safe for home composting (results dependent on the conditions of your compost bin).

We use water activated paper packing tape rather than plastic packing tape. It takes a bit more time, and costs a little more, but it's nothing compared to the longterm cost of using plastic.

No plastic, a little more time and money. Hey, I think there's a pattern here! Like our pouches and packing tape, our packing paper prioritizes the wellness of our planet over convenience.

So what does all this actually equate to? $1.76* per bag of flour, to be exact. A small price to pay to care for our planet.
